Ghanada wears dentures, a fact that had been unknown to the other boarders, till now. Ghanada then explains how he had saved the world by extracting a couple of his healthy teeth and replacing it with dentures.
The story is set in the city of Avalon, in California. Ghanada had been invited to that city by his old friend, D’Costa, via a coded telegram. However, on reaching Avalon, Ghanada found out that D’Costa had died a day before, by drowning in the sea. At that time, an elusive tuna fish, which Ghanada had named Nilima, was the only topic of discussion in Avalon. All the Tuna fish hunters had failed to catch Nilima. Ghanada had failed too. After trying for a few days, Ghanada gave up and went to New Port city, in the mainland of California. Upon returning to Avalon, he met Benito, the richest member of the local Tuna club. Soon, Ghanada received an invitation from Benito to attend a party on Benito’s cruise boat. Before going to the party, Ghanada went into the sea, wearing a Scuba costume and solved the mystery of Nilima not being caught, as well as the mystery of D’Costa’s death. However, the last piece of the puzzle was still missing.
Ghanada went to the cruise party and there, he confronted Benito and accused him of killing D’Costa, following which, they got into a fight. Then it was revealed that Benito had imprisoned a renowned scientist, Anthony Fisher, forced him to develop a projectile weapon, and had made him write down the formula of the cobalt bomb. Ghanada freed Mr. Fisher, took photographs of the formula with the cameras that he had hidden in his dentures, and sent those via a torpedo, developed by Benito, with the help of Mr. Fisher.
